Awesome

Although it's now used as another word for cool, it literally means something that strucks awe. Something so amazing, one is in awe seeing it. But like I said, nowadays it's used just like cool.

I was struck with awe when I witnessed men landing on the moon. It was awesome.

Belongs to a formula, "Ten Kinds of (adj)" which is in wider use. To be ten kinds of awesome is to be emphatically good, just as to be ten kinds of (a negative quality) would be emphatically bad.

Pronounced B'Yawesome. Stands for Beyond Awesome. From Disney's Bolt where Rhino the Hamster is cheering himself on into the echoey air duct.
