To roast someone in a playful manner in order to maintain good relations with them. Furthermore, a toast may be given to someone if they are too much of a pussy to handle a whole roast.

John: I can't believe Jo(e) would toast me in front of my friends

v. Boom roasted to a lesser degree; to have suffered from a good insult, but one not quite as scathing as to merit a boom roasted.
