Jersey Merge

A reckless driving maneuver in which a motorist, having missed an highway exit, violently swerves across the striped gore area (and often other lanes of traffic) at the last moment to force their way onto an off-ramp or exit, disregarding everyone else on the road.

Some dumbass in an SUV pulled a Jersey merge right in front of me and nearly caused a pileup.
