The theory of musical equilibration (in German: die strebetendenz-theorie or, literally, the tendency to strive theory) is a psychological theory that argues that music does not elicit emotion directly and that, instead, the listener "identifies with musically-encoded processes of will" and interprets them to produce an emotional effect.
"Music and Emotions - Research on the Theory of Musical Equilibration" is the English edition of the German publication "Musik und Emotionen - Studien zur Strebetendenz-Theorie" by Daniela and Bernd Willimek; it was translated by Laura Russell. The first part of the book addresses the main premise of the Theory.

The Guy Who Didn't Like Musicals is a horror-comedy musical released on December 24th of 2018, released by Team Starkid. The musical doesn't stick to a set classification of music, with a wide array of genres presented in a mere one hour and 52 minutes. It hosts a slew of on-stage special effects, and with songs and composition by Team Starkid member Jeff Blim, it is definitely something you'll want to look into.

The musical itself is a bit of a parody of the musical theatre genre, with pokes at "I Want" songs, character motivations, and more.

It covers the story of a man named Paul, who has a great distaste for musicals. His life carries on as normal until a meteor crashes into a theater in downtown Hachetfield, the setting of the show. This meteor begins to transform people from everyday citizens; to singing-dancing zombie hiveminds, that are out to make you join them, at any cost.
The show can be found on YouTube, completely free.

The show carries a large degree of swearing and adult humor, but is certainly a recommended pick for many. You can find more about the show on the Starkid Fandom Wiki, but beware spoilers!

Muskrat Canadian

A typical Canadian Boy. He is unshaven, is a jeans and t-shirt kind of guy. He loves beer, hockey and all typical Canadian things. Unlike American guys, to pick up a girl he will insult her a little, instead of heavily complement her, this technique works mainly only on Canadian girls. A Muskrat Canadian often can be seen sporting plaid, wearing boot cut jeans.
They also often own a guitar.
American girl Tim said I look tired, I spent hours getting ready for tonight
Canadian girl That means he likes you! Tim's a total Muskrat Canadian! He probably wants to take you out

Musical Talent

A long forgotten idea that had been practiced by such bands as Led Zeppelin, The Who, Rush, Primus, Alice in Chains and Tool

Antonyms: Emo, Pop Punk, Pop, Techno, and basically everything else the kids in my school listen to
Oh my god, Alice in Chains' repertoire is overflowing with musical talent!

Jesus Christ, emo kid! Haven't you ever heard of musical talent??

musical misfortune

When you have a song stuck in your head for at least 10 minutes, and right before you get the chance to listen to the song, it finally becomes un-stuck.
john is very annoyed by the 80s song "take on me" that is stuck in his head, so he rushes home, runs up the stairs, opens his laptop, only to realize the song is not stuck in his head anymore.
