Simirun

Simirun is a name that dates back to the early thirteenth century and comes from the Punjab. It was originally the name given to the purest gold that was found in the village of Pandori. The gold was deemed to have special magical powers which would bring good luck to anyone who touched it. As years passed, a Raja of India named his only daughter Simirun and it is said that whatever misfortune came her way it immediately turned into good.

Simirun touched a blind man and he at once regained his sight.

The gold, Simirun, was originally found in India.

Samurai suicide

Seppuku, or "samurai suicide", is a form of Japanese ritual suicide by disembowelment. Seppuku was originally reserved only for samurai. Part of the samurai honor code, seppuku was used either voluntarily by samurai to die with honor rather than fall into the hands of their enemies (and likely suffer torture) or as a form of punishment for samurai who had committed serious offenses, or performed because they had brought shame to themselves.

Minamoto no Tametomo was likely the first to use a "samurai suicide" technique, the seppuku ritual.
