Acquired immune deficiency syndrome (AIDS)
Derived from the Cockney rhyming slang phrase "Ace of Spades" = AIDS.

NOTE: -'Sharing needles' refers to the act of sharing a hypodermic needle containing heroin (or a number of other recreational drugs that can be taken this way). Often the second users 'half' will contain traces of blood. This is arguably the easiest way to transmit AIDS or HIV.
