semi nerd

A growing stereotype amongst male teenagers. It is someone between a computer nerd and sports addict. While semi nerd's are usually highly intelligent, they arent very interested in sports, or corny video games and over the top maths.

A typical semi nerd may play a console video game such as medal of honor, or Halo, they have many friends of both genders, but usually play two to no sports.

It could be said that they aren't nerds but they do nerd related activities in a 'cool' way.

Sporty Person: Look at this semi nerd, playing his pokemon or what ever...
Semi Nerd: Halo bro, get it right.

Semi Hipster

A person who is sort of a hipster, but not entirely. As they do not meet the criteria of a hipster completely. They deny being a hipster, doesn't necessarily wear hipster clothing or fashion, tries to avoid mainstream music, but still does listen to some mainstream due to influence by friends. They could even not be aware of the existence of the term Hipster. Which makes them a Semi Hipster

A: Dude, you don't listen to mainstream crap, you're a hipster!
B: What?! No no no, but... Yeah, I'm kind of like a hipster, but I don't fit the criteria or descriptions of a hipster entirely, so I guess I'm a... Semi Hipster.
A: ...Fair enough.

Semi-consensual

Possible the most unsettling word in English when used by itself. Consent for practical purposes needs to be considered an absolute state or else we're promoting a rape culture. Anyone who uses the term unironically should probably be corrected.

I am completely desensitised to any form of excessive pleasure after years of semi-consensual orgies.
