The king of douche-textery also send emails in this manner.

ambi-texting is the art of texting after you have taken an Ambien. You never fully realize what you've tried to text until the next morning when you check your history and can't make out the meaning.

Honey, did you take a pill before bed last night? Yes, why? Because you were ambi-texting me before you went to sleep.

Novel Texting

When the person you are texting does not want to have an actual phone conversation so you have to write a lot rather then just being able to say it.

Lucy was crying all night because Brad broke up with her. I tried to call her but she wouldn't answer so I was novel texting her for about an hour.

Bobby was novel texting Cindy the other night because she couldn't talk on the phone. He was trying to convince her to sneak out to go to a party.

The act of having a conversation with someone by typing on your phone, but not actually sending the text. Rather, you just pass the phone back and forth to type on, or you just show the person what you wrote to them.

We were ghetto texting so that our friends wouldn't know what we were saying.

We didn't feel like talking, so we just ghetto texted.

We were sitting together, and he just ghetto texted me that he liked me!

Bicoastal Drunk Texting (BDT)

Bicoastal Drunk Texting (BDT) most commonly occurs with friends living on opposite ends of the country, separated by several time zones. Someone on the East Coast will start drinking at normal hours and then start drunk texting or sexting their friends. What they don't consider is that their West Coast counterparts are three hours behind, so they start receiving these drunk texts and sexts in the late afternoon/early evening.

Messages 9pm ET:
"I want you right now baby!"
"I'm so wasted! Ahhhh I want you NOW!"
"Sorry...drunkkkk"

Recipient at 6PM PT:
"Wow...she's wasted and I haven't even eaten dinner yet."

"I love it when you BDT me baby."
