groupie syndrome

When a person in the local music scene has a self inflated belief of entitlement, be it known or unknown to them. They tend to act, as if things are owed to them with out any reciprocation of gratitude. This belief spreads to all areas of their lives, being friend, family or strangers.

Example of groupie syndrome as defined above: "My friend, who plays bass in a local band, hardly ever says thank you for favors. He feels like people should want to do things for him, like everyone is his groupie"
