For the Sake of the Plot

A reason given when something unrealistic, unbelievable, or too convenient happens in a movie, book, or TV show because otherwise the plot would be ruined. Especially relevant when characters miss obvious details that would lead to big revelations.

Native to Guam and other parts of Micronesia. "For the Nens", is a response to someone that doesn't want to do a certain thing but when a buddy tells them "For the Nens" they pretty much have to do it. "Nens" is a slang term for "Neni Girls", which means Baby Girls or Babes.

For fudge cake

A more polite but equally comprehensible version of "For fuck's sake". They'll know what you restrained yourself from saying. Can be used in both senses of the original phrase.

1. "Isn't that your girlfriend with Texas Pete over there Superted?"
"For fudge cake! I just bought the heifer a holiday!"

2. "For fudge cake, please refrain from sticking your fingers in the fudge cake."
