It is generally a filipino curse literally meaning bitch mother or if used against somebody as a curse like " putang ina mo" means you're mother is a bitch or son of a bitch. Usually used when ones gets really mad with somebody and wants to pick a fight

Putang ina

A "polite" way to tell someone he or she is a son of a bitch. This is because literally, it means "Your mother is a bitch" which kind of makes you the victim child of a bitch. Still, it is a strong insult because we Filipinos love our mothers.

Cara de puta is what ugly ass skank whores call a woman who is way better looking then they are outta jealousy. They call a beautiful woman cara de puta at first glance just because she getting all the attention they wish they had w/out tryn.They judging her by her looks just cuz she looks good dont mean she a PUTA like they are jealous bitches Bitter bitches sorry that u ugly. Aint my fault!! :-)

putana

The most basic translation is SLUT, not necessarily a paid whore or prostitute. It is normally derisive and used to label a "loose" woman, to put it nicely. In some parts of Greece, however, it is now used as an infomal term of address not meant as an insult. Think of the term "player" in the US, except as it applies to a woman. Most, however, would take the word a severe insult equivalent to "malakas" for a man.

The word originated in Greece, but it is now commonly used in Italy, Turkey, and generally the Eastern Mediterranean.

In Colombia it's an expression that means something/someone is cool. Curiously, the meaning is not related with the word puta.
