Deep-Phishing

A form of phishing in which hackers use real-time deepfake technology, such as AI-generated voices or videos, to deceive and manipulate individuals into divulging sensitive information or performing unauthorized actions. The word Deep-Phishing was first coined by Ben Colman, CEO of Reality Defender, the leader in deepfake detection.
"The CEO fell victim to a deep-phishing attack when a convincing deepfake video call from a trusted colleague asked for immediate access to critical systems."
"To prevent deep-phishing scams, companies are now investing in advanced detection systems for real-time communications."
"Deep-phishing combines social engineering with cutting-edge AI to create highly targeted and believable attacks."
"As deepfake technology becomes more accessible, experts warn of an increase in deep-phishing incidents targeting high-profile executives."
