A term you use to refer to someone who you can be yourself around and don't need to modify your natural, inherent, or otherwise learned behavior(s) for whatever dumb reason other people hate each other for some dumb other reason for.

Yo, my friends are true friends. When I'm around them, I feel good, frosted flakes good. Except when they tell me I'm an asshole and that I'm wrong about things. Then they piss me off until time passes and I realize that they were right and I'm a gosh dang idiot who probably shouldn't be drinking 2 pints of booze a day and asking random chinese men if they'd be willing to give me a haircut.
