A hard major that results in a good job in the end. Only problem is that there aren't enough girls in engineering.

We need to encourage more girls to take up engineering so that engineering guys can get laid.

Wankel Rotary Engine

An ingenious engine design which avoids the reciprocal motion of the piston engine and manages to incorporate the suck, squeeze, bang, blow of internal combustion engines into a rotating piston.

Not a torture device of any kind.

The Wankel rotary engine is far more efficient than the latest hybrid cars, but nobody will buy one because it sounds too much like "wanker".

Engineer

The perfect superhuman.
Usually ripped on by others for using university for it's original intention, to study.

When arts students come across an engineering student they will usually make a weak attempt at a joke, as they are intimidated by an engineers superior intelligence.

Arts student: Hey look its an engineering student... i uh.. i uh bet he doesnt do the sex!

Engineering student: Sorry, how much can you get paid from only having your arts undergrad?

senior engineer power trip

when a person gets promoted to senior engineer and decides it is time to pick on regular engineers because he finally got a step up on them. this is usually the result of feeling inadequate, typically because the regular engineers went to better colleges than the senior engineer did

southern engineer

To fix something by cobbeling together. Not only is duct tape a mainstay in the southern engineers tool box, but so is bailing wire. Typical uses for the bailing wire are any applications where welding would normally be used.

Jethro: "Hey Jim-Bob, my muffler is draggin and causing all sorts of racket".
Jim-Bob: "Git you some of dat bailin wiar and tie er up".
Jethro: "Good idea Jim-Bob, where is it at?"
Jim-Bob: "Over yonder, in ma tool box, under the duct tape".
Jethro: "Thank god you went to the Po-dunk A & M community college in Stump Jumperville and got your GED on that Southern Engineer course"!
