The Difference Between Goth and Emo

Goth is a culture. It's not about hating the world. It's about appreciating and finding beauty in the dark side of life. You can find that lots of goths are musicians and poets and artists. Not all goths wear all black, you can worship the devil without being goth. Goths are often older, mostly in their 20's-30's. There are also many sub-cultures of goth. Cybergoth, victorian goth, romantic goth, just to name a few. Goths are often more mature.

Emo is a phase that a lot of teenagers go through, usually starting at the age of 13. It includes saying you have mental disorders to fit in. Often you see emo kids competing on who has the most extreme mental disorders that they diagnosed themselves. They don't know anything about emotive hardcore music, which the trend originated from. When the trend originally started, it was all about the music, and not the fashion. But with bands like My Chemical Romance, it became about self-harm. Please, remember that self-harming is a serious mental disorder that many people have, and it doesn't make them "emo" if they do. And please, don't self-harm just to fit in to a trend.

Michigan Duffle Coat

The act of climbing onto someone's car hood on your hands and knees, inducing vomiting onto their windshield, and then wrapping the car in plastic wrap, thus sealing in the vomit.

It is traditional to stake-out the location to observe the recipients reaction from a safe distance.
