Swissering is the act of being overly sorry for no reason. Since this behaviour is most common in Switzerland (also Canada) and thus performed by Swiss people this term was called "Swissering".

I am so sorry the tea I made didn't have the perfect temperature but was 2°C colder! - Oh stop swissering already!
