The more advanced side of New Jersey, and the side that is more influenced by New York. In North Jersey, the Yankees/Mets, Knicks/Nets, & Devils/Rangers/Islanders get more press then in South Jersey (We're not all Yankee fans, FYI). Also, there is a stereotype that we all have New York Accents, which is wrong. Most of us don't have an accent at all, and those that do live VERY close to New York.
There are Diners everywhere, true, but New Jersey is the Diner state, so that can't really be blamed on North NJ.

In North Jersey:
- We read the Star Ledger, not the Asbury Park Press.
- We use SPRINKLES, not Jimmies.
- We eat SUBS, not Hoagies.
- Channel 4 is NBC. Not 3.
- None of us have any f*cking idea what a Wawa is.
- We really don't give a shit how the Phillies do.
- Atlantic City isn't sentimental to us.

A mixed drink consisting of long island iced tea, except for instead of cola, you put in jaeger. So a jersey tea is equal parts vodka, gin, tequila, rum, triplesec, sour mix, and a splash of jaeger

Mounds of flesh on the female of the species that look appealing at first glance but upon closer examination closely resemble deflated pancakes.

When you’re swimming in the ocean with your boys and each of you takes off his bathing suit, throws it to one another and puts someone else's on. Particularly adventurous if done during the day/in public as it requires a short period of skinny dipping and trust that one of your brothers will throw you a pair of trunks after you throw yours away. Can also be done in a lake or, far less likely, in a pool, because of the clarity of the water and proximity to one other making it hella sus.
Went to go swimming at the beach with some of the boys last night and ended up doing a good ole fashioned Atlantic Ocean jersey swap as well. I left wearing Jeremy's trunk and he's two sizes smaller than me.

Central Jersey is the portion of New Jersey between North Jersey and South Jersey. The actual boundaries are debatable, but if you're from Central Jersey you know it. New Jerseyans not from Central Jersey may deny the existance of a Central, but they probably have vistited to go down the shore.
Central Jersey has lots of diners, lots of NY commuters, and is the place where both Bruce Springsteen and Bon Jovi reside. It's where Kevin Smith is from, and where his store "Jay and Silent Bob's Secret Stash* is (Red Bank). Danny DeVito features Asbury Park, a Central Jersey town, in his movies, because that's where he's from. It's approximately an hour fifteen to NYC and about an hour 45 to Cape May.
It's suburbia. With Jersey attitude.

"What part of Jersey you from?"
"Central." *pause* "Red Bank? Belmar?... about 45 minutes north of Wildwood. Exit 105."
