Dog Pile

A group of people jumping on one person and taking him down to the ground, then more people jumping on top of the pile.

If you have ever witnessed a litter of hungry puppies all go after a piece of kibble or a table scrap at the same time, you can appreciate the similarity. They collide and climb on top of each other after the piece of food.

Likely gained popularity a word used for when, on a football field, a player is tackled by multiple players. A lot of high school football teams are named (insert name of school here) Bulldogs.

Also known as a pileup or a crush (the person on the bottom of the pile feels crushed under the weight of the others)

Pikey Hunting

The defintions of Pikey on UrbanDictionary are generally correct, except for one fact: in Bedford, a Pikey is NOT a Townie. While closely related in personality and instincts, they retain a more mysterious air. For instance, a Townie gang wanders around town starting fights, a Pikey gang will silently close around you as you walk down a dark alley, and usally hang around in thier campsites, swimming in thier own filth.

Pikey Hunting is misleading. What you actually do is scout(or hunt) out thier squatting ground during the day, when it is much less dangerous, then return at night.

I am basing this on the Bedford way of doing things, it may be diffrent in other places. We bring a small group of friends, and the aim is to get as far as possible into the campsite before you go back. You may want to enliven the process by seeing who can get to a caravan door and knock on it, etc. Only for the hardened
Dom crept slowly up to the caravan door, until suddenly he knocked over a beer can. There was a sudden scuffling sound in the darkness as the rest of the group ran for cover. A dark shape was suddenly outlined in the doorway, standing for a moment, then slowly coming down the steps.

walrus pile

A game resulting in large piles of people laying on top of each other. When an unsuspecting victim is laying down on the floor, someone shouts "Walrus pile!" and jumps on top of them. Everyone else in the room also yells "Walrus pile!" and must immediately jump on and stack atop the victim. Ignore the muffled screams of the poor person at the bottom of the pile.
If no one is laying on the floor, a walrus pile may be started by wrestling the victim to the ground and then shouting "Walrus pile" as normal.
Daniel: "Psst, hey Steve, check it out. Aaron's just laying there on the ground watching TV."
Steve: "WALRUS PILE!!!"
Aaron: "Mmmmfph! Mmph!"

OR

Daniel: "Hey Tucker did you hear how we got 10 people in on a walrus pile on top of Aaron?"
