East Atlantic Beach, NY

East Atlantic Beach is a wealthy part of Long Beach. Family's send there kids to private school's all over Long Island and kids are extremely spoiled. Kids are also athletes and extremely high Maintenance. They love Billibong, Quick Silver, Ralph Lauren, Gucci, Tommy Bahama and any other name brand. They also have a new pair of sun glasses everyday. Parents let them get any car they want but by the pickiness of the kids usually they want a BMW, Mercedes, Porsche, and now Audi. Teenagers have wild parties in the estates and consist of pool hopping in empty summer mansion and if they are on for sale they have pool parties. Don't mess with them because they all have ties with the Mafia and many shows like the Sopranos are shot they and also TV shows like Royal Pains and Gossip Girl. Things to do there are surf, go to the Counrty or Beach club and play golf and yess Tan hard !!!

Atlatl

The atlatl is the world's first and oldest weapons system in continuous use, first appearing around 30,000 years ago in Europe The atlatl is made of wood, bone or antler, often thin and flat about two feet in length and used to propel a 2 metre long arrow-like projectile called a dart. One end of the atlalt is held in the hand while the butt of the dart is placed in a surface groove at the other end. At the end of the groove is a raised spur or attached spike to hold the bottom of the dart in place while it is held in a slightly raised position by the same hand that holds the handle end of the atlatl. Using the leverage of this short board, which functioned like an extension of the thrower's arm, the hunter propelled the dart in an overhand or side motion with a force far greater than that of a hand-thrown spear. Perhaps the coolest weapon ever invented by palaeolithic humans, the atlatl is the first lever, as well as weapons system and complex tool invented by ancient Man. The name comes from a combination of Nuhatl indian words of Central America meaning "Water" and "to throw" from its use as a fishing weapon, though separate examples are known from almost every continent, except Africa and Antarctica. Atlatl is a general term used to describe many dart-throwing devices.

Using atlatls, the Aztec warriors could pierce the steel armour of the invading Spanish conquistadores in the 1500's, from several hundred yards before the Spanish forces could get within musket range.

Atlantic City

An urban community located along the southern Jersey Shore in Atlantic County, New Jersey. It is most famous for being the home of the Miss America contest, as well as many large casino-hotels. Sometimes referred to as America's Playground and Newark with a beach. See also Borgata Babe.

If you're smart, you won't leave the casinos in Atlantic City after dark. The streets can get scary there!

Atlanta Thrashers

The professional hockey team for Atlanta, Georgia. The Thrashers are a part of the National Hockey League. Year after the, this team seems to be going nowhere, and while great and dedicated fans stay faithful, they always end up upset and pissed off at the end of the season.
