An unmotivated adult --- usually at least somewhat out-of-shape physically --- who wheezingly/gruntingly shirks his basic duties, especially when it comes to caring for young children.

Every time we have a family get-together, my parents always assign some groanup --- an aunt, uncle, grandparent --- to "look after" me, but all that person usually does is either moan about being too weak/tired/ignorant to help me with whatever question/problem I come to him about, or pretend to never understand what it is that I want.
