Falklands Effect

When a country, a group, or an individual which might have been expected to tamely accept the theft of its possessions or other bullying fights back, and thus sends a message that it, they, him, or her, is not to be trifled (or f--cked) with by the bully or by anyone else.

Similar to the Stonewall Effect (q.v.)

After the U.K. retook the Falklands, the Argentines never attempted another invasion, and there was a noticeable drop-off in other types of adventurism by tinpot despots around the world, largely because they had been chastened by the Falklands Effect.

Fallon Field

A field/park located near Roslindale Square. It's the chillest spot in boston. You can ball up while waiting for you're run then go to all the great sports conviently located near Fallon. Before visting Italy or Rome, take a look around Fallon for a few. Just dont get fucked up.

Falling for someone

I know I never answered your question yesterday about "what your definition of falling for someone is". I didn't answer because I really wanted to think about what my answer would be, so I did. I believe that falling for someone is when you're always thinking about that person, when you could be in a bad mood but once you go hang out with that person you get very happy and forget about what happened before that. I also think that for you to fall for someone that you would have to be able to really understand or predict how someone would feel in a certain situation. But what I think is the biggest part of falling for someone is that when you do end up falling for someone that they become one of your favorite people in the world and dream of being together in the future

Popular catch phrase in the 1980's which was the result of a popular TV commercial for a medical emergency service that targeted the elderly.

The commercial featured a blue haired, pre-historic woman, dishoveled and lying at the foot of the stairs. She presses her emergency call button that is located on a necklace around her wrinkly old head and shouts:

"I've fallen and I can't get up!"

huband: "Bitch, where's my sandwich?"
wife: "I've fallen, and I can't get up!"
husband: "You didn't answer my goddamn question!"
wife: "I think I broke my hip."
husband: "I'll break your other freakin' hip if I don't get my sandwich now!"
