Posing as someone else, Hoping that the person being followed will "Rub-off" on the follower and the follower will become more like the person.

*Guy #2 walks away*

*Guy #1 follows behind in bushes, and takes notes of all that guy #2 does, then the next day, does the same thing and uses the actions to be like guy #2.*

guy #2: "STOP TRYING TO BE ME! YOU NEVER WILL!!! YOU'RE SUCH A CHRONTARD!"

chronosynthesia

Condition in which a person has a distorted view of time and its relation to events and production. Sufferers have difficulty understanding concepts where something could not have been produced at a certain time because of some circumstances.

Of course those movies were made when the Soviets were our allies, but the HUAC suffers from chronosynthesia.
