A female feline character who has endured a hard short life already and when a spirit of the forest, Izotz comes to her, she realizes there are only more hardships to come but that these will finally bring her and her world peace.

Also she's moody, very tempermental, eccentric and doesn't take crap from nobody. A loner but loves the company of the few whom she does hold dear.

Actually Basha - meaning a shelter - comes from the Bengali for 'house' and dates back to the first British military presence in India in the 18th century. (British Army Standard Hotel Accommodation is just a 'backronym' i.e. a made up origin that makes sense.)
