Netflix Activist

Person who makes sure to watch every trending Netflix documentary about social issues in the world (ex. Blackfish, Ted Bundy, Tiger King, R. Kelly, etc), and makes sure to post a "novel" about it on social media, but never actually researches social issues or tries to change the world for the better.

"Did you see Breanna's huge Facebook post about R. Kelly?"

"Yep. Just being a Netflix Activist as usual."

When a group or organisation is infiltrated by those representing minority interests in such a way that they gain significant influence or control and then use this to push their desired agenda.

Activist capture is usually a deliberate process initiated by outsiders of the group or organisation. Tactics include: *Making demands for representation, often citing a lack thereof
*Calls for allyships
*Forming of a bloc that is used to drown out individual members and amplify their own voices
* Liberal use and accusations of "isms" and "phobias" designed to force compliance through fear
*Threats or intimidation if the above doesn't work

Activist capture is a strategy used when it is highly unlikely that a brand new group representing activist interests will gain anywhere near the power or influence of the existing one.

The Labour party was subject to activist capture by the pro-Corbyn Momentum group.

Woodchipper Rights Activist

A Woodchipper Rights Activist is one who believes that all people deserve the right to leap headfirst into a woodchipper and if the "evil government" stops them from doing so, the fact they were stopped from leaping headfirst into a woodchipper is "the worst kind of tyranny". To make matters worse, the woodchipper rights activists are often taken to hospitals after their brushes with woodchippers, either due to injury or suspected mental health issues, which doubles up on the tyranny, and the encounter becomes the "WORST worst kind of tyranny" , doubling up on the worst's and capitalizing on them as well. Woodchipper rights activists can be seen about noon, rousing from sleep in their parents basement to declare literally everything thats ever been done is "the worst kind of tyranny"
