Synonym for double-clutching.

Named after the famous American composer Leonard Bernstein because of his affinity for manual Italian sports convertibles which needed to be double clutched.

Named by Click and Clack from Car Talk on NPR.

Dude, why are you pushing the clutch in twice?

Bernie Pal

Any person who has spent any time at a certain girl's camp in sundridge who spends most of her time eating cheese, trading silly bands (no matter what age the camper may be), trying to guess what the next meal might be and complaining about the weather, and are confused about things such as running water, mild showers, technology and boys. Hence why they obsess over maintenance and kitchen staff.

Girl #1: It's too hot and sunny out today! I don't want to be outside!
Girl #2: You're such a Bernie Pal.

Girl #1: OMG. I just had a Bernie Pal moment. That guy on the tractor is so good looking.

Berni

Awesome, amazing, likes blanket forts. Can often be seen displaying a dopey smile. If approached, make sure to wear lots of bubble wrap as this creature is prone to biting and gets distracted by the popping. Giggles uncontrollably when tamed and will often giggle harder at it's own giggling. Mood is contagious, resulting in multiple cases of over-active hyper behaviour. Is also very cute and huggable. Diet includes: Chocolate paddlepops, and more chocolate paddlepops. If creature appears aggressive, throw cats at it; this will calm the creature and leave you with at least 5 seconds to run away. Or play Evanescence.

Bernie Lomax

In "Weekend at Bernie's" the lead character Bernie Lomax dies. For some reason his body moves when music is played. So when a friend passes out at a bar and reawakens during loud music and starts drunk dancing it is the Bernie Lomax.

Derock drank 4 gin and tonics in 30 minutes and passes out. Journey's "Don't Stop Believing" comes on he gets up and starts rockin' out. He just pulled a Bernie Lomax.

Bernied

Drunk This word derives from the act of being so drunk that you are incapacitated to the point that you are helpless and need assistance from friends in order to move.

The movie Weekend at Bernie's is the prime example of this word. Althogh Bernie Lomax was dead he was still livin it up. He even plugged some broad when he was "Bernied." His action is a perfect example of what does/could/sometimes happen when severely intoxicated
