Linear Perspectivism

Linear Perspectivism - An art style and painting technique, developed and used by artist Erik Hesson, in which a scene is represented from a single perspective; using basic geometric forms, dynamic texture, and vibrant colors to create an idealized three-dimensional abstract composition. This style is an attempt to create a balanced fusion of Geometric Abstraction and Realism; incorporating mathematical calculations and sacred geometry into the three-dimensional composition to achieve the desired aesthetics. This style was first introduced in 2017 by Erik Hesson, a resident artist of St. Petersburg, Fl., and this new language in art is his attempt at creating a Universal Aesthetic; a true objective style of art that brings everyone together in agreement on the aesthetics of the art form....Though, he does realize that might be an unattainable aspiration for any artist.

Scientific Perspectivism

The application of perspectivism to scientific knowledge—the view that science is always practiced from a perspective, that scientific truths are always truths-for-a-particular-scientific-community, that scientific methods are always shaped by the questions they're designed to answer. Scientific Perspectivism doesn't deny that science produces reliable knowledge; it just denies that this knowledge is a pure reflection of reality independent of the scientific perspective. Different scientific frameworks reveal different aspects of reality; none reveals reality as it is in itself. Scientific Perspectivism is the philosophy of scientific pluralism, of the recognition that multiple scientific perspectives can be valid simultaneously.

Example: "He'd been taught that science gave us the one true picture of reality. Scientific Perspectivism showed him otherwise: different sciences gave different pictures—physics saw matter, biology saw life, psychology saw mind. None was more real; all were perspectives. Science wasn't less true; it was differently true—true from where it stood."

Epistemological Perspectivism

The application of perspectivism to epistemology—the study of knowledge itself. Epistemological Perspectivism argues that all knowledge is from a perspective, that what counts as knowledge depends on the knower's situation, that there is no knowledge from nowhere. This doesn't mean knowledge is impossible; it means knowledge is always situated, always partial, always from somewhere. Epistemological Perspectivism is the foundation of standpoint theory, of feminist epistemology, of every approach that takes the knower's position seriously. It's the recognition that where you stand shapes what you can see—and that seeing from somewhere is not a weakness but the only way to see at all.

Reality Perspectivism

The application of perspectivism to reality itself—the view that reality is not a single, fixed, perspective-independent thing but a multiplicity, seen differently from different perspectives. Reality Perspectivism doesn't deny that there is a real world; it denies that there is one privileged description of that world. Reality is like a landscape seen from many angles—each view is real, each reveals something, none is the whole. Reality Perspectivism is the philosophy of ontological pluralism, of the recognition that reality is richer than any single account can capture. Objectivity Perspectivism

The application of perspectivism to objectivity—the view that objectivity is not achieved by escaping perspective but by multiplying perspectives, by seeing from many angles, by incorporating multiple standpoints. Objectivity Perspectivism argues that the traditional ideal of objectivity—the view from nowhere—is not only impossible but undesirable. Real objectivity comes from acknowledging your perspective, understanding its limits, and seeking out other perspectives to correct and enrich your own. Objectivity Perspectivism is the philosophy of strong objectivity, of situated knowledge, of the recognition that the best truth is the one that has been seen from the most angles.

Efficiency Perspectivism

The application of perspectivism to efficiency—the view that efficiency is always seen from a perspective, never from nowhere. Efficiency Perspectivism argues that there is no view-from-nowhere efficiency, no neutral measure that captures how well things work for everyone. Every efficiency claim comes from somewhere, serves some interests, reflects some values. The task is not to find the one true efficiency but to understand different perspectives, to see how efficiency looks from different positions. Efficiency Perspectivism is the philosophy of pluralism in evaluation, of the recognition that how well something works depends on who's asking.
