Often stylised as (GööberWäffen) this term derives from the english slang "Goober" meaning idiot, retard, or silly person and fusing it with the german word "Waffen" meaning weapon. This word is used to describe someone who is such an idiot they should, in fact, be considered a weapon. Typically a weapon of mass destruction.

A "Gooner" (derived from the English slang "goner") describes something or someone that is completely lost, beyond saving, or without any chance of recovery. It signifies that a situation is hopeless, something is irreversibly defeated, or someone is done for.
