Ifonlyism 

The persistent belief that "if only __________" , then situations would be corrected -- as if by magic; an oversimplification of solutions to near any idea.

"If only we didn't have government, people would be trusting of one another.."
"If only I had more money, I would be happy..."
"If only everyone believed in my religion, the world would be peaceful."
"If only everyone practiced ifonlyism, the world would be perfect."
