A term used to describe the less than desirable things that your girlfriend does.

eg: Whining, bitching, complaining

Joe: Dude, you look pissed. What's up?
Bob: It's Sara. She wont stop complaining about how hard her new school is. Her Girlfriending is driving me insane!
Joe: Buddy, that's lame. Drink?

verb: the act of treating a girl you're dating as your girlfriend in public. This girl is often confused by these actions and is lead to believe that she is "different" from the other women you are dating. Behavior commonly displayed during girlfriending include: constantly holding hands giving her kisses when she's said something cute, and and leading her around the bar by her hand.

Guy 1 "That mandi chick just asked me to go meet her parents this weekend. WTF?"

Guy 2 "Dude, you were girlfriending her all last night at the bar. You introduced her as 'My partner in crime' to everyone."

Guy 2 "SHIT!"

The act of calling someone repeatedly, even though the person on the other line doesn't answer the phone.

Mike: Damn, Jenny was jealous girlfriending me the whole time I was out last night. She called my cell phone like 37 times.
Jim: I thought you were only out for like an hour?
Mike: I was! She is just crazy like that.

Girlfiending 

One who is girlfiending most likely has a new girlfriend and exhibits the following characteristics.

- Loses all other male friends/friends in general.
- Only hangs out with girlfriend.
- Shows up hand in hand with her in completely sketch situations.
- Appears to be obsessed with her.
- Appears to be married (in some cases)

Basically to the guy, she is the equivalent of crack to a crackhead.

"Chris is girlfiending so bad, all he ever talks to and hangs out with is Katie. "

"Hey man, want to go get something to eat?"
"Nah, I'm staring at Kelsey's pictures right now, then we're going to sit in the park at sunset, then we're going to stare at each other's eyes for a couple of hours..."
