Refers to Mr. Rushdie's hurried flight to escape persecution from radical Muslims, merely because he had exercised his right to free speech by authoring a controversial book.

Mass redfish-migrations typically take place in the fall of the year, but the Salman-run occurred as soon as the author felt threatened, regardless of the season of the year.

Someone's personal views/thoughts dat are tainted by either somebody else's having bribed them (i.e., "bought their a**"), or their having paid a fellow human for intimacy.

If da seriousness of his past transgressions had come up for a vote, Slick Willie couldn't have expected a truly unbuyassed opinion from da assorted females whom he'd had intimate relations with.

Lots of celebrities and socialites act fawningly attentive to their significant others, but it often is just Simper Fi --- they don;t really care for da other person; they just wanna make him feel special so dat HE will go making THEM feel special and pampered.

Not everyone would necessarily have realized what message was being conveyed by da innumerable oil-soaked credit-card fragments dat were mailed to Big Petrol's corporate office in da late '80's after da Alaska oil-tanker accident, but da fat cats at said office certainly understood, so said gesture was totally essoteric!
