One of the biggest radio stations in the DC/Metropolitan area. Launched many no-name bands into MTV stardom. Broadcasted for 36 years until it was suddenly and tragically changed into a crappy salsa station by the evil Infinity Radio corporation.

The neighborhood was a nice place to raise a kid a couple years ago, but then it had to go all WHFS

WHFstival 

A huge concert in the Washington D.C. area that was hosted by the radio station WHFS. Always had a varitery of bands and singers. Eminem to Linkin Park to Incubus to New Found Glory. Famous for showing boobs on the jumbo screen and the wave of smoke comming from the 420 section of RFK Stadium. A rite of passage for high school students in the metro area.
