A stupid name trendies call a tounge piercing. The jewelery used in a tounge piercing isn't a "ring" or a "stud" at all, it is called a barbell. So whenever you hear someone use this phrase, kindly punch them in the face, because anybody seriously involved in piercing is sick and tired of hearing this. See also belly ring.
