'Radical' guitarist with Rage Against The Machine.
Used the guitar as a 'sampler', in that he could make it go 'woo woo' like a siren. Then proceded to use pedals and feedback to make pretty unimpressive noises.
Wore a cap that said 'Commie', which juxtaposed with the millions of dollar he earnt from three albums etc with RATM. His comments that his band signed to Epic was because they wanted to destroy the machine from the inside, was obviously very naive bullshit.
Now with a very bland, unadventurous, Middle Of The Road band called Audioslave.
Tom ruled on the first RATM album, what he was doing was unheard of before, even the follow up was incredibly different.
Used long words in interviews to sound intellegent.

Probably the most talented guitarist in the whole fucking world. The things he does with a guitar are just fucking amazing. Plays for Audioslave and played for Rage Against the Machine.

Quite possibly the greatest mainstream guitarist. He uses different effects and distortion to make his sound the most unique he can. The man is way too talented to be playing rhythm behind Chris Cornell.

a new guitar hero 'god' for today. This guy was in Rage Against the Machine and Audioslave and has been in supergroup rap-rock bands, session appearances and solo. He is WHACK and innovative. He can make his guitar sound like everything from whistling, turntable scratching, a vacuum cleaner, a Moog synthesizer, R2-D2 and more! he is NUTS! After the passing of Eddie Van Halen in 2020, he and Mdou Moctar now carry the torch of guitar gods for guitar 'geek' hobbyists to learn from. Rock'n'roll FOREVER!

1. In 2014 i saw Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band for the third time. Since Little Steven Van Zandt was contracted to play on the 'Sopranos' TV show, Tom Morello subbed in. During the usual band member introductions Bruce gives, he mentioned Tom Morello and Tom played a totally crazy wild electrifying freaky guitar solo like you've never seen. And he made it look so EASY.

2. I saw Eddie Van Halen (RIP) in 1986, Tom Morello in 2014 and Nigerien guitarist Mdou Moctar in 2019. Three of the greatest guitarists of my life. An if you don't know about the latter one yet, you will.
