Similar to a ratchet hoe, BUT tries harder to go for the hipster style in a way that is more self-aware and completely obvious. Likes selfies, likes feathers, likes antlers, likes tattoos of elephants, likes quotes from books she hasn't read, likes old typewriters, likes polaroid photographs, likes hot yoga. You can like one of these things and not be spooky, but to like all of them is to be spooky.

At Coachella I saw a Spooky Girl wearing a crown of flowers that she made while taking MDMA.

Spooky Girl 

A girl who tries to appear as 'mysterious', 'dangerous' or 'complicated', but is just a basic girl.

Spooky Girls' appearance is usually goth-lite, with dark hair and makeup, in an attempt to differentiate themselves from more preppy girls that they perceive as 'basic'.

They usually have tattoos of birds or nature, as to appear 'gritty', but are inoffensive enough to still look cute to boys.
They like mainstream shows and music like "Wednesday" and Olivia Rodrigo, which they think makes them 'dark' and 'complex', but which are actually formulaic and juvenile in their writing and production.
They also likely engage in mildly 'occult' practices, like owning a Tarot deck that they don't know how to use, and refer to their pets as "familiars" on TikTok.

Braden: "Wow, Autumn is such a mysterious girl."
Carla: "Nah, she's just a Spooky Girl. She just wears dark clothes and listens to mainstream music. She works with me at Dunkin."
