spadvertising

1.Spamming and Advertising combined.
2.A phenomenon often present on internet forums and communities, which can be really annoying to both members and staff (moderators and administrators).
3. Repetitive ad posting on a forum by a series of accounts created solely for advertising, often by companies like UMG-D.
Oh damn, yet another UMGD intern registered and has already started spadvertising...A moderator should act soon.

spamvertising

Form of online advertising that uses spam-like tactics in ways not usually associated with spam. We know about spam in snail mail, e-mail and enwsgroups, but this is a much wider problem:
fake blogs, comments on websites that allow visitors to comment, shell sites, etc.
For some reason, these guys reckon this form of advertising is worth their while. I'd be willing to bet a huge sum of money that less than 0.01% of advertisers who use these tactics actually make money, in fact the majority probably lose money plus the time they've wasted setting it up. Spamvertising just pisses people off, it certainly doesn't make us want to go and spend money on whatever heap a shit you're hawking.
just look at many of the current blog posts on www.weblogs.com
or the waves of spam comments at blogcritics.org

sadvertising

An advertisement scientifically engineered to make you sad.
Quick, turn off that Sarah McLachlan ASPCA commercial! Using that kitten with a cast on its arm is pure sadvertising.

spammertising

The act of using spam to advertise.
We used spammertising to reach 27,000 un-knowing potential lawsuits, er, customers.

Slagvertising

Urban Dictionary Submission: “slagvertising”

slagvertising
noun

When brands use young social‑media influencers who promote products through highly attention‑seeking, self‑display‑heavy content — usually for a fraction of what traditional advertising used to cost.

It’s the modern marketing strategy where companies skip big ad agencies and instead send discount codes, free samples, or tiny payments to influencers who post provocative, algorithm‑baiting videos to push a product. Cheap for the brand, high‑visibility for the feed, and everywhere on TikTok and Instagram.

Example:
“Why is every fast‑fashion brand relying on slagvertising now? They just send a crop top to a 19‑year‑old and call it a campaign.”

Another example:
“Traditional modelling is dead — slagvertising took over the whole industry.”

Related: influencer marketing, micro‑promo, sponcon, thirst‑trap economy.

Stealthie

when you're holding up your phone and making faces at it, as though you are taking a selfie, but you're really taking a picture of the person across from you or the wall or anything else that seems interesting but you don't want to be caught dead taking a picture of.

This action is often made more convincing by wiggling the eyebrows or opening the mouth, to pretend you're trying to get a Snapchat filter to work.
FRIEND A: "Did you just take a stealthie of me?"

FRIEND B (turning phone around): "no I was just using snapchat's new filter, see?"
