eyebrow slit

Shaving gaps in your eyebrows to be trendy. It gets clumped in the category of eyebrows on fleek and shaping/drawing them on. It's usually done on one eyebrow but can be done on both, and there could but 2-3 slits on an eyebrow or just one. People also do these to identify with a group if a whole clique does eyebrow slits.
"Do you remember those girl at the mall?"
"Um, nah man"
"Yeah you do, they all had those eyebrow slits"
"Oh yeah! Now I remember"

Eyebrow Slit

An eyebrow slit, formally known as an eyebrow 'cut'. Is just when someone shaves vertical lines in their eyebrow. It is actually a 80s/90s hiphop trend started by Big Daddy Kane. It does not signify any specific sexual orientation.
"Did you see all those white girls on TikTok saying that an eyebrow slit means you're a lesbian?"

"Yeah, isn't that cultural appropriation?"

"Yes, it is. Always trying to take our trends and turn it into something for them. It's just self expression. It holds no value towards sexual orientation. Period."

Eyebrow slit

The culturally appropriated term created by white people to attempt to cash in on what is properly referred to as eyebrow cuts made popular by black people, most notably Big Daddy Kane, since the early days of hip hop.
Those white girls keep talking about eyebrow slits but they are actually called eyebrow cuts. Idiots.

Eyebrow Slit

The original definition:

" A vertical slit shaved off the eyebrow is a gang symbol indicating membership. It is sometimes referred to as "carved." ... According to The Oregonian's source, a shaved line in the eyebrow is meant to impress rather than to intimidate. "
What happened to that guy who was shot?

He had an eyebrow slit but wasn't apart of a gang, so a gang mistook him for a rival gang member and shot him.

Back when I lived in upstate new york

A meaningless, unimpressive, self-serving introduction. An indicator that the story about to be shared will be pointless and dumb.
Back when I lived in upstate new york, I also had to park on the street - on two occasions, we got enough snow, mixed with just the right plowing, that my car was lifted off the ground from so much snow being jammed underneath it.

Sister: This meeting was to discuss the rough draft of my essay, where we discussed the subsidiary questions I added in my rough draft. We also discussed the relationship between my main title and the real-life situations I chose to use in my essay. We discussed the structure of my essay as well, specifically the Math AOK section and how it relates to the contradiction of the title. This second meeting was particularly helpful in discussing the implications of my essay claims and how to apply the title across various areas of knowledge. There were many sections of the essay that could have been cut down in wordiness and the ways of knowing required further and more in-depth analysis.
