A word invented by the Mighty Mighty Bosstones, to descibe themselves.

Bands of the Genre are: MMB, Choking Victim(Not Leftover Crack), Catch 22, Big D(some).

Skacore is not to be confused with ska/punk or punk/ska.
The bosstones are Skacore.

A mixture of Ska and "Hardcore". It favors the speed and agressiveness of hardcore with horns and plucky guitar work. A brave and unintelligent venture, we can only hope it doesn't catch on.

The combonation of ska music and hardcore. Recognisible from it's quick off beat guitar but hardcore breakdowns. Orthodoxly lined with a brass section or a single brass instrument however some discard brass altogether and play fast reggae led hardcore.
Ska-core bands: Capdown, Howards Alias, Farse, Lightyear, Kicked in the Head, Adequate 7
