In the worst case, they spend even more than they have and build a massive debt. Sidewalkers are usually one pay check from being broke, even though they may have a high salary.

(n)A term used for those who work to ban smoking from sidwalks outside, including residential areas.
In March 2006, Calabasas, CA (pop. 25,000) passed a law banning smoking fro ALL outdoor public places. The city of Belmont, CA (pop. 25,000) followed almost two years later, extending the ban to also multi-unit housing, where ventilation is shared. There are more and more sidewalkers around.
