It was supposed to be a typical markdown and coding site, but now it is used by annoying Twitter users to make long, petty DNI lists and overshare personal info. Basically, a carrd wannabe.

Rentry

A pastebin service for publishing webpages written with markdown, a lightweight markup language for formatting plain text. Often used for oversharing personal information, creating fancy sheets of digital paper that take about four hours to write, and linking in your Twitter bio.

Abort, Retry, Fail?

Abort, Retry Fail? or sometimes Abort, Retry, Ignore, Fail? was an error message displayed in DOS when unable to read data. The user is prompted to hit either A, R, I or F accordingly.

Abort - Aborts the operation.
Retry - Tries to read the data again.
Ignore - Hands "default data" to the application requesting the data.
Fail - Tries to continue without the data. Fail nearly always proves unsuccessful as it will result in missing data.

Retry is in most cases the only hope for success.

Rentrat

A Rent fan who, back in the day, spent hours waiting online to get $20 front row tickets to see the show. Tickets were given on a first come basis, so you had to be there really early in the morning, and you purchased the tickets around 6pm. Now replaced with a 'lottery', which only requires you to show up 2 hours early and numbers/names are drawn from a hat. A true Rentrat sat four hours in the extreme cold, the extreme heat, the rain, the snow, etc., all for the love of the show.

Tourist: "Look at those poor homeless kids."
Rentrat: "We're not homeless, we're Rentrats."
