1. To restore to humans the sense of self-hood and individuality; to recognize and respect the inherent dignity due to human beings after they have been dehumanized. Coined by the organization Rehumanize International in 2017.
The civilians destroyed by war were rehumanized once a society of peace came about and understood their right to not be deemed "the enemy."

The unborn were rehumanized as their rights were finally taken seriously, decades after being stripped of them.

church hurt
