Probably one of the best movies of all time. Directed and starred in by Mel Gibson, it is a loose biography of William Wallace, the man responsible for scotland uniting and gaining it'
s independance from
england. Trademarks of the movie are William Wallace's half
blue/half white face painting at the battle of stirling, and his yell of "FREEEEEEEDDDDDDDOOOOOOOOOMMMMMM" after being tortured nearly to
death. although there are more than a few historical inacuracies it is an amazing movie that everyone should see.
"Will you stand and fight?!"
"no! we will run. and we will live"
"ay. fight, and you may die. run, and you'll live. at least for a while.
and then, dying in your beds, many years from now, would you be willing to trade all the days, from this
day to that, for one chance, just one chance, to tell our enemies that they may take our lives, but they'll
never take our
freedom!"
