When someone uses text messaging or instant messaging to deliver a one-way communication. Even if you respond immediately, there is little chance to expect a reply -- the postcarder has already put their phone away or closed the instant message window.
Oh boy, Jennifer is postcarding again. I texted her back immediately and got "Delivered", but she hasn't even "Read" my response. She is just happy to have delivered her postcard.

postcarding 

That act of taking ineffective action. Advocating or engaging in activism that appears impactful but lacks substantial or lasting effect, often limited to symbolic gestures or superficial, fruitless efforts. Frequently used to describe actions that provide a sense of participation without creating meaningful change.
You think signing an online petition and marching on Washington again is going to make a difference? Classic postcarding.

An adjective that describes a near-perfect or serene setting that it is worthy of being placed on a postcard; A picture-perfect view or snapshot.

Cigarette: Northern slang for a cigarette, used oft by mashed up mancunian ravers becasue of the resemblance of a hot(electric)stove to the end of a lit cigarette. Originated circa 1991 in the early halcyon days of the rave culture; we speculate during a drug fuelled hallucination by said manc.
