nocializing

What happens when a group of high school or college kids gets together and no one actually talks but they all sit there and fiddle with their I-phones, I-pods and , I pads —each in their own separate bubble. Kind of like socializing except no one interacts.

At the dorm meeting the new freshmen all sat around Nocializing , and when they left not one of them could even remember the name of any of the other kids who were there.

Hocialize

When an individual or group inserts themselves into another gathering of people for their own personal gain (to smoke a joint, bum a cigarette, drink their alcohol, etc.).

Hey, Sara, let's go hocialize with those people who are smoking over there.

Someone who is swayed by society's trends without taking into consideration if it is right or wrong. They act out of status and not hospitality.
