nerd's nerd

A classic nerd, not one of those "hip" nerds with "smart" glasses. A real smart as hell boring as your grandmother, glasses wearing, chinless, chesthairless, bonafide geek. Think Bill/melinda gates, stephen hawkins etc.
A. Oh my god that new statistic professor is such an asshole. Yesterday he called me stupid in front of everyone.

B. I know, the nerds seem to like him though. Apparently you need an above 145 IQ to "get" him.

A. Yeah, I guess he's a "nerd's nerd"

T&S Nerd

A person who identifies themselves/or is identified as a T&S nerd, is someone who has an unhealthy obsession with the Canadian rock band called Tegan and Sara. They refuse to have an "obsession", and categorize it as an admiration or fascination.
They know every quote, have memorized every lyric, belong to .ca and teganandsarabanter.com, they have seen virtually every youtube video on tegan and sara, and have educated themselves to the point of knowing every story tegan or sara has ever told on stage or in an interview.
There are entire international communities of these people, and they are usually lesbians, as both tegan and sara gay. However, they refuse to admit that the reason they listen to T&S is because of their homosexuality. They will often wear tegan and sara merch, the newly released shoes, own pieces of emy storey's art, cut their hair like tegan and sara, or listen to other bands that are affiliated with T&S. These people are far more numerous than originally predicted.
Kate - Hey, did you see Kelly's new hair cut?

Anne - Yea, she is such a t&s nerd, she wears that jacket everyday too!

Nerd's Rant

A phenomena in which a nerd enters a state of mind, in which they can no longer keep their thoughts in and decide to go to an open forum, a blog or anything similar and write out their thoughts, even though to most of the audience reading those thoughts will not be able to understand what they're ranting about clearly, usually it results in a jumbled wall of text and contradictions. These thoughts are only relevant to the nerd, even if you understand them.
"I'm unsure if I should get this processor, it'll boost my GHZ to 4.6, but I could just as easily buy this other processor that will only put it to 3.2 but will work better with this motherboard I'm looking at." - Rough Example of a Nerd's Rant.

Nerd's Rant

A condition often displayed on forums and guestbooks internet-wide. Nerd's Rant is a truly devastating phenomenon, made even more so by translation into GeekSpeak, aka "Leet".
Nerd's Rant usally comes up in protest to an unsatisfactory post, or incorrect reference to All Your Base or Numa Numa, thus angering the Nerd, causing an explosive showering of acronyms and stupid insults.
An example of Nerd's Rant:

"OMG u n00b STFU u d1dn7 qu0t3 |\|um4 |\|um4 |21t3 OMG FU!!1"

Nerd's Corollary

The logical, if frustrating realistic corollary to Moore's Law regarding the number of transistors on a microchip. In as much as Moore's Law is used to estimate reductions in the cost per unit of computers, so will the reduced cost of the computers be converted to more processors purchased if the programmers are left unchecked.
The following conversation could have been avoided if Fred had applied the Nerd's Corollary to the purchase of new computers:

"Fred, I thought you said that if we bought the quad core machines, we could reduce the number of computers in the server room and save costs. Why do we have more servers than when we started and are over budget?"

"Well, we needed more machines because with the new speed and power, we discovered we could re-thread the re-factored process and parallelize the... (Fred's eyes glaze over and the rest of the information is lost in this discussion)"
