n00berty
(Pronounced "new-ber-tee")
Noun
The transition in which a n00blet will become a full-fledged n00b. N00berty is most common in n00blets ages 13-15, though this statistic is not true for everybody; some n00blets may only hit n00berty around the ages of 18 and 19.
N00berty is much like puberty, as it will usually last until adulthood. However, unlike puberty, it is most common to happen to males first.
Common symptoms caused by n00berty are:
1. Shorter attention span.
2. Increased spelling errors. (more then the common n00b/n00blet)
3. High-pitched voices.
4. Increased use of the number 1 instead of exclamation marks.
5. Excessive use of "OMG", "WTF", and "LOL".
(These symptoms usually last until the transition is complete.)

N00ber Pwnage
A wordplay on the term "uber pwnage," pronounced New-burr-Pone-edge, n00ber pwnage has two definitions.
1. beginners luck; when a n00b is doing well in a video game (must be against other people; ie. XBox Live, a PC game, etc)
2. the art of targeting n00bs and n00bs alone.

Boffin
British slang for a scientist or technical expert, esp . when the speaker is not certain of the expert’s specific field of study. Not necessarily derogatory, but typically used by persons without a technical background. In the US, the equivalent would be “egghead”, “squint”, or “geek.”
Origin of the word is unknown. Started sometime in World War 2. Given the typical evolution of British slang, could easily have started because what these experts did was confusing or “baffling” to the common person.

When you have to pee in a movie but don’t want to miss anything, and must do the following mental equation: will the amount I have to pee cause enough discomfort to diminish my attention capacity for the remainder of the movie to an extent which is greater than the amount of the movie I would miss by making a mad dash to the restroom.
