A party of some kind, especially for celebrating the New Year on January first or any other time of the year.

Even though it was August, me and my friends got together to have a mezzapalooza and celebrate the New Year.

Megapalooza

A birthday celebration which occurs in Las Vegas, NV during the month of August. The official party is celebrated on August 10th or on the closest weekend to that date. If August 10th falls on a Wednesday, it is required that the weekend before and after August 10th must be celebrated. This celebration is in honor of the coolest person ever born on this date and named Megan - hence MEGApalooza!

Danielle: Are you going to Megapalooza?
Shelly: Of course! Only the coolest people will be there.
