A Roman festival of freedom in honor of Dionysus. Ancient Roman teenagers used to offer the stubble of their first shave on this date, and older women lead phallic processions through the city.

In modern times, those who grow their hair long for Dionysus see this as the time to get a trim. Some people make phallic cakes, and others thank Dionysus, in his role as ‘Liber Pater’ (Father Freedom) for political, personal, and spiritual freedoms.

liberal glasses

Liberal glasses are the dark and thick-rimmed glasses, typically square in shape, favored by liberals. They are worn in an attempt to appear intellectually superior. Also called "hipster glasses." It is a safe bet that when somebody wears them, they ascribe to a left-leaning ideology. The majority of people who wear liberal glasses are also white.

Jay Carney, Tina Fey, and Janeane Garofalo wear stereotypical liberal glasses.

"Will" wore liberal glasses to signify both his intellectual superiority and his submission to his feminist wife. As long as he wore the magical liberal glasses, he was free to talk down to everybody until his wife called. Then he would apologize for every trivial hardship she encountered, like having to pump her own gas or call somebody to confirm an appointment.

A technique used by liberals in which, during a debate, the liberal will keep on branching out the debate into more and more irrelevant topics, and when you fail to address a topic, the liberal will call you out on it and believe he/she has won the debate

boba liberal

A boba liberal is usually an upper middle class East or Southeast Asian living in the West, typically in the United State or Canada, who identifies as a liberal. However their association with liberal ideology and liberalism is simply a means to increase their proximity to whiteness or to pretend to be white themselves. Boba liberals use their Asianness to speak on behalf of the Asian population in the West, using talking points created by white liberals, which has a tendency to gaslight actual issues faced by the Asian diaspora. The Asian identity of boba liberals is very shallow since it goes directly against their goal of aspiring to whiteness, so they use surface level stereotypical Asian traits such as "liking boba tea" to boaster their Asian credentials. Liking boba tea does not require much personal investment since many people like boba tea and is a fairly harmless non-opinion to take unlike, for example, "the United States should not interfere in China's domestic affairs," or "Asians suffer from systemic bipartisan conservative as well as liberal racism."

Mainstream Asian Liberalism is like boba tea, all sugar, no substance, hence "boba liberalism."
