Lananh
On the outside, she seems like a cheerful person, who is good in social situations, but she chooses only a few people to know her private life. She may not open up to you right away, but after you earn her trust she'll tell you more things. She does subtle things for people that really make a difference. She loves attention from her friends and especially the person she likes. She may think she is not smart but in reality, she is VERY smart and proves it to those around her. She is dedicated and will always get things done even if she has no energy left. She cares a lot about how other people think about her and chooses to make great first impressions. She doesn't want to be popular, but rather she wants to be respected. She is empathetic. She is extraordinary at feeling other people's emotions and knows how to handle a situation. Boffin
British slang for a scientist or technical expert, esp . when the speaker is not certain of the expert’s specific field of study. Not necessarily derogatory, but typically used by persons without a technical background. In the US, the equivalent would be “egghead”, “squint”, or “geek.”
Origin of the word is unknown. Started sometime in World War 2. Given the typical evolution of British slang, could easily have started because what these experts did was confusing or “baffling” to the common person.
