Keshena is town in Wisconsin next to Shawano filled with snakes and hoes. Kids at the KPS are already swearing, fighting, and being suicidal. The MIMS kids are already fucking each other. And smoking in the bathrooms. MIHS is filled with snakes that talk shit about every single one of each other. The one thing they all have in common is how they all love their cousins.
“I went to Keshena instead of Alabama for vacation but still got to fuck my cousin!”

You think me an old fogeyand an old tory, his thoughtful voice said. I saw three generations since O’Connel’s time. I remember the famine. Do you know that the orange lodges agitated for repeal of the union twenty years before O’Connel did or before the prelates of your communion denounced him as a demagogue? You fenians forget some things. (James Joyce, Ulysses. Penguin Books,1992. p. 38)
