Derived transliterally from the Japanese word 'Katapan' which is a combined form of two words 'Kata' meaning shoulders and 'Pan' which comes from the english word 'Punch' meaning the act of hitting an object with closed fist.
A lot of ignorant, dumb, spoiled, and ego-boosted, kids from 12-18 of age who think they are really bad-ass and the center of attention play this so called 'game'.
This game is practiced almost everywhere in schools, homes, facilities, outdoors, private or public in Japan. It is more common though, in places like an All-Boys Catholic School, eg. St. Mary's International Schools of Abundant Guys. Seeing dumb, hyper kids playing Katapan on the streets often says a lot about their mentality level and undeveloped human nature.
The game is really simple. Two kids usually get together to punch each other's shoulder while taking turns. Whoever can bare more pain usually wins.
Simply said; 'Dumbass Game'

A fusion of Katara and Aang, main characters in the animated series, Avatar:The Last Airbender. The term is used by fans of the romantic pairing of these particular characters, although their relationship was not initially portrayed as romantic in the show, at least not mutually as Katara seemed more of a mother figure to Aang while he had an obvious crush on her. Future episodes may reveal if Katara reciprocates Aang's feelings, as it is yet unclear.
Katara + Aang = Kataang

A shipping pair for Avatar the Last Airbender. Places main characters Aang, 12, and Katara, 14, in an adult relationship. People who ship it are either little kids or pedos. Pairing enjoys fluff, Oedipus complexes, rape kisses, stalking, and small peens. Because of Aang's infatuation with Katara, he becomes very possessive to the point of even killing those that look at Katara. Kataang becomes canon after very little development, which was all one sided. It only became canon because it was Bryke's "soft spot."
Pedo bear likes Kataang.

The name fans use to refer to a particular relationship from the Nickelodeon TV show Avatar:The Last Airbender. Like many "ship" names, it is a portmanteau of the names of the characters involved: Katara and Aang. Aang is the hero of the story and is the most recent incarnation of the avatar, a powerful human capable of mastering all four of the show's elemental bending magics. Katara is the show's female lead and is the last remaining waterbender from the Southern Water Tribe. Kataang is generally considered to be more likely to become the canon relationship by the series' end than its main competitor, Zutara. Zutara enjoys more popularity and success in fan fiction and art, though.
People say Kataang is too obvious, but it's not like Avatar is a soap opera or something!

After the dance, the kiss, and all that fluff, Kataang is SO canon.

Kataang is so unrealistic! don't people know that girls never fall for nice guys?
